What is a Pop-Up?
A pop-up event is when a group of service providers come together in one location at one time to offer a variety of services. The purpose of the pop-up is to make these services easier to access for people who may have trouble accessing them in the usual way or in the usual place they are offered. Our goals are to improve access to services for residents of North Lethbridge, and also to improve the way service providers work together to offer services that people need.
What is IMPACT?
Innovative Models Promoting Access-to-Care Transformation (IMPACT) is a 5-year research study. IMPACT is looking at ways to increase access to primary healthcare services for people who need it most. There are three sites in Canada (Lethbridge, Montreal, Ottawa) and three sites in Australia (New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria) who are all doing similar work. At the end of the 5-year research study, we hope that the communities in which we work will see the value in continuing the work we have begun.
IMPACT is funded through a joint funding from the Australian Primary Health Care Research Institute, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé.
